Course content
Psychology as a multiparadigmatic science; the subject of psychology; the specification of general psychology. Basic terms; psyche models; psyche determination. Consciousness and unconsciousness; sleep. Sensation and perception. Attention; learning; memory. Thinking and speech. Motivation and will. Emotion. The term of personality. The typology of personality. The theory of personality.

Learning outcomes
Introducing students into basic concepts of the given fields with special reference to psychic processes while providing an outline of psychological constructs as a potential device for structuring both the self-knowledge and the knowledge of others which can be used in other disciplines of core psychology. In personality psychology students will be familiarised with theories that are essential for contemporary pedagogical approaches (humanistic and cognitivistic theories; the issues of personality determination). On completion, students should have a sufficient understanding of psychological terms for qualified study of specialised handbooks for educationalists.
