Course content
Seminars: 1. Non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic - non-profit sector abroad. Non-profit sector - general issues of management of non-profit organizations. 2. Typology of organizations of non-profit sector. Legal minimum of non-profit organizations - ways of origin and cessation of non-profit organization. 3. Non-profit sector and state administration and autonomy. 4. Financial management of non-profit organization, economic minimum. Fundraising. 5. Issues of insurance in non-profit organization, state subsidy policy, financial planning and marketing. 6. Work with the public, work with the media, cooperation and competition in non-profit organizations. 7. Human factor in management of non-profit organization. Personnel policy of non-governmental non-profit sector. 8. Strategic planning in non-profit organization. 9. Contractual relations in non-state non-profit sector. 10.Methods of monitoring and assessment of activity of non-profit organizations.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Work activities (workshops)
Learning outcomes
Familiarize the students with issues of non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic. Teach the students the fundamentals of project writing, creation of presentation, strategic planning in relation to non-profit organizations.
1. The student orientates in basic documents, regulations and activities of non-profit sphere in the Czech Republic. 2. The student understands the values and objectives of non-profit organisations operating in the health and social area. 3. The student individually studies professional literature and materials, orientates in information sources of non-profit organisations. 4. The student is able to prepare a project for establishment of a non-profit organisation.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge on health and social issues, work with Internet and literature are expected.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Seminar work

Active participation in seminars (80%), processing of seminar work, debate on seminar work within colloquium.
