Course content
1. Basic activities of preschool children - play, its historical development, theories 2. Play, characteristics and functions of play, creating conditions for the play. 3. Toy 4. Basic activities of preschool children - learning 5. Basic activities of preschool children - work 6. Pedagogical diagnostics 7. Preparation for entry into basic education 8. Individualization, integration, inclusion 9. Current changes of family and their impact on preschool child 10. Two-year-olds in kindergarten 11. Institutions in pre-school education 12. Evaluation of kindergarten 13. Preschool education as a problem of social and educational policy

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Projection, Work activities (workshops), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The course is designed to impart an in-depth knowledge of Framework Educational Programme for pre-school education and its implementation in the kindergarten practice. Students will be introduced into the system of educational planning at school and class levels; into maximisation of the operational effectiveness of educational targets and concretisation of educational content. In cooperative activities they will be able to use in practice the techniques and potentialities of devising a school and class educational programmes.
Explaining the principles and content of the FEP PE; its implementation in kindergarten practice; designing kindergarten education.

Oral examination, Written examination, Analysis of student's work activities (technical works), Interview

Active participation; a seminar paper - a kindergarten educational project.
