Course content
1. Project management as a specific area of management. 2. History of the European Union regional policy. 3. Conception of projects and project management in selected areas. 4. Project activities and their funding sources. 5. Project phases: definition, planning, implementation and evaluation. 6. Logical framework of the project. 7. Planning of key activities and sources. 8. Project budget. 9. Project risks and risk prevention measures. 10. Human resource management and communication: manager's personality, team, process of worker selection. 11. Monitoring and reporting. 12. Publicity, dissemination: outcomes and outputs. 13. Software for the project management support. 14. Lecture by a representative of the practice - a discussion of practical problems.

Upon successful completion the student receives an overview of the project preparation, administration and solution.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic test

Elaboration of an individual project (5 - 10 standard pages), its presentation at a tutorial and defence at the final colloquium. The final test to knowledge verification (at least 75 % of questions answered). Projects will be focused on the sphere of human resources, social sphere and non-profit sector.
