Course content
- School experience in a faculty kindergarten one day a week - safety training; - assisting the teacher; - observing the teacher´s work; - joining in the children´s games; - unaided guiding of games; - observing the children´s experiences; - critical analysis of the student´s own experiences in a discussion; - critical analysis of video recordings of the activities; - employing video training details in critical analysis; - written analysis

Learning outcomes
The course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of kindergarten life and the teacher´s professional competence and to enhance their motivation for educational activities as well as further pedagogical education while acquiring the requisite skills for managing a children´s group. The course will facilitate students´ acquisition of basic skills in the systematic observation of educational process, through emphasis on accepting the laws of games and sharing experiences with individual children and by inspiring them to natural and meaningful involvement in children´s games. Students will receive sensitive treatment respecting their individual previous experience and skills.
Seeing the child as a partner; being able to anticipate and describe the child´s feelings and perceptions and to respond to them. To guide a children´s group at play or during a simple guided activity.
