Course content
1 to 2 Meaning, definition (subject) and position opthalmopaedia, interdisciplinary relations, historical development of the field and the basic terminology (ideological paradigms opthalmopaedia). 3 to 5 Etiology, concept, definition and classification of disorders of vision. The basic classification of visual impairment. Basic anatomy and physiology of visual organ. Compensation possibilities of visual perception, utilities, system and compensation options Braille. 6. Diagnostics and Prognostics visual impairment, the most common ophthalmologic diagnosis (their etiology, prognosis and current treatment options). 7 to 9 Specifics of work in facilities for the visually impaired (methods and forms of work, teaching aids). Specifics of congenital and acquired visual impairment, cognitive development, the psychological dimension of the issue. 10 to 11 The system of education of children and students with visual impairments, the possibilities for social inclusion. Early care beginning as education, legislative possibilities of school integration, the role of the family, the specifics of education of children with visual impairments, the role of special education centers for children with visual impairments. 12 to 14 Network equipment Typhlopedic - orientation, the classification system, throughput, professional training, the specifics of vocational training, secondary and higher education, the possibility of

Learning outcomes
The course deals with development, status and importance opthalmopaedia system of special education in the historical context . Defines its object ( the question of education of people with visual impairments ) related to ophthalmology. It also addresses the factual possibilities of education of people with visual disabilities , in terms of current legislation. Special attention is paid to specific issues of school integration of children and students with visual impairments , including the integration of adults with visual impairments , with the assistance of a wide range of assistive and technical aids for this target group , with an emphasis on quality of life.
Orientate in the terminology field and actively use it - Distinguish basic categories of visual impairment - Interpret and reflect the historical context of care for persons with visual disabilities - Specify knowledge of anatomy and physiology of visual perception in the context of the development of individual personality structures - Define the basic factors affecting the learning process of individuals with visual impairment at all levels of the education system - Define the characteristics of the sub- funds and compensatory mechanisms in limited visual perception - To reflect the context of the integration process of people with visual impairment in social structures
