Course content
1) Subject of personality psychology and developmental psychology, basic methods. 2) Basic psychological concepts of personality. 3) Personality structure and dynamics. 4) Typology, temperamental theory. 5) Aptitudes, capabilities, intelligence. 6) Character problematics, attitude and volitional features. 7) Motivational disposition, motivational tendencies of personality. 8) Personal integration, self-concept, identity. 9) Personality formation mechanisms, development, maturing, learning. 10) Developmental theories. 11) Socialization of personality, base emotional relationship, deprivation and subdeprivation. 12) Characteristics of development in childhood and adolescence. 13) Developmental stages in adulthood and old age. 14) Importance of interpersonal relationships for the development of personality

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
The course delineates psychological attitudes to personality, introduces to basic terminology and major attitudes to personality. It shows methods and options of personality examination. It presents information about the patterns and dynamics of personality and the patterns of psychic development in the whole ontogenesis.
Students acquire basic knowledge of personality theories, and orientation in major attitudes to personality and research methods. They learn to apply the knowledge of personality shaping and developmental aberrations, and use it for the sake of self-reflection.
