Course content
1. Studying personality - approaches, methods, problems 2. Unconscious determinants of personality. Psychoanalytic tradition. 3. Personality, situation, prediction of behaviour. Personality traits, personality in interaction with the environment. 4. Interpretative structures. Cognitive and humanistic approaches to personality. 5. Personality in a social environment. Life stories and scripts. 6. Psychopathology. Normality and pathology of the personality. 7. Psychological development - general theories, developmental stages. 8. Prenatal and neonatal period. 9. Early childhood. 10. Pre-school age, maturity for schooling. 11. School age. 12. Puberty and adolescence. 13. Adulthood. 14. Developmental psycho diagnostics.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Work activities (workshops)
Learning outcomes
The course leads students to understand personality, provides basic terminology and main theoretical approaches. Development of the personality. Psychic development, developmental periods. Psychic specificities of different developmental periods. Students will learn methods of personality assessment in seminars.
The student knows psychological approaches to personality and development, understands the main personality theories, developmental periods and is able to analyze the deviations of the psychic development in the high school children.
