Course content
1. Physiological, cognitive and behavioral aspect of emotions. 2. The role of emotions in action regulation. 3. Dynamics of emotions, 4. Possibilities of emotional control and regulation. 5. Coping with unpleasant emotional states. 6. Recognition of the emotions of other people, appropriate reactions to emotional signals.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Monitoring, Demonstration, Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
Emotions as a psychological issue (theories of emotions, discrete emotions approach, core topics of basic emotions, regulation of emotions); and as one's experience. The course has knowledge-oriented and experience-oriented part. Main topic are: terminology, psychological approaches to emotions, basic emotions, role of emotions in personality development (with respect to consequences for the profession), diagnostics of emotions, recognitions of the emotions of other people in everyday life, coping with emotions.
The student has basic knowledge of emotion regulation, recognizes the emotions of oneself and other people, is able to describe the emotions and analyze their sources and possible impacts.
