Course content
Themes: Personality, its basic characteristics and its energical source. Freud´s ID as a reservoir of "blind" energy not having conscience. Education and culture as factors regulating ID pro-socially. Determination of human mind. Heredity vs. environment, maturation vs. learning, genotype vs. phenotype. Neuropsychology. Diferences between boys and girls. Social environment and human mind. The child-parent interaction. Social learning. Family harmony and normality of child development. Deprivation, subdeprivation. Their symptoms. Social dimension of self-concept (social mirror). Aggression, its causes. Social cooperation as a basic educational strategy. Frustration and problem of "borderline" children. Conscience and moral development of the child. Intelligence. IQ vs. EQ. Socialization. Social group. Organization and atmosphere of social group life. Sociometry, sociogram. Intervention into social group. ADHD: frequent deviation from normal development in human beings.

Learning outcomes
Output student´s knowledge: a) to achieve basic psychological concepts, see Themes below b) to achieve elementary observational skills oriented to one-self and to others c) to categorize elementary psychological problems connected with education and accordance with it address professional psychological services and institutions d) to master elementary diagnostic skills e) to master elementary skills of intervention into group atmosphere and master methods stimulating in children their empathy and sympathy f) to evaluate basic function of school in changing social context, i.e. shift from education of classical intelligence (linguistic and matematical intelligence) to socio-emotional intelligence.
