Course content
1. Reseaarch question, problem, plan 2. Quantitative and qualitative methodology. Qualitative research designs. 3. Exploratory and confirmatory approach. 4. Research designs, research samples, research methods. 5. Data types, validity and reliability of data 6. Data analysis and interpretations of the findings. 7. Statistical software for social sciences. 8. Discussion of results, inferring conclusions.

Learning outcomes
Methodological questions of educational research, their importance and current problems. Quantitative and qualitative methodology. Qualitative research designs. Research problem, exploratory and confirmatory approach. Research designs, research samples, research methods. Types of variables, measurement, scales and data in psychology and educational research. Validity and reliability of data. Hypothesis and its verification. Data analysis and interpretations of the findings. Statistical software for social sciences. Discussion of results. Conclusions of research study.
Student is well oriented in various approaches to the educational research, is able to create research plan and prepare the research study.
