Course content
Lectures: 1. Basic concepts - sources, elements, subjects, representation, the basic principles; 2. Employment, types, creation, changes; 3. Termination of employment, obligations of employers, illegal termination of employment; 4 . Agreement on works practised besides employment, discipline at work, working regulations, sanction, security of work; 5. Working time - the concept, length, layout, rest, flexible working time; 6. Payment and salary, overtime, aggravated working environment, deductions; 7. Tariffs, premium pay and quittances, refund of wages (payment) and reimbursement, obstacles to work; 8. Holiday, compensation, reduction; 9. Care for employees, working conditions; 10. Liability for damage of employee and employer; 11. The position of unions in labour-law relations, solution of disputes; 12. Employment - tasks of public authorities, mediation of employment, retraining, material security; 13. The employment of persons with changed work ability - socially purposeful jobs, community service, control activities of state bodies;

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide a basic knowledge of labour-law relations, whose understanding is essential in practice to both employees and employers.
Students are able to orientate in the Labour Code and related legal rules and are able to apply this properly.
Prerequisites
Civil substantive and procedural law, partly Commercial, Administrative and Criminal law.

Oral examination, Test, Seminar work

Credit Requirements: Participation in consultations Elaboration of assigned legal acts Final test Examination Requirements: Students will ballot 2 questions, which include a total issue of the course per semester and demonstrate good theoretical knowledge and its application on practical cases.
