Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to master the principles of regional project design using EU methodological approaches and to prepare project proposals that correspond to the approved programme documentation for the current programming period. Students will become familiar with the full life cycle of a subsidy project for a municipality or non-profit organisation - from analytical preparation through planning and submission of the application in the MS21+ portal to monitoring and final evaluation. Alongside methodological tools, students will gain an orientation in the institutional structure of the Czech subsidy system and in the current programme documentation. The course places strong emphasis on practical application: throughout the semester, each student gradually develops their own project proposal for a small municipality or non-profit organisation, which forms the final output of the course.
The student will be able to elaborate a project including its financial assessment; will learn to negotiate with the relevant institutions, and will be able to vindicate his project.
Prerequisites
The study subject Regional designing is conditioned by the subject Regional Management I.

Assessment methods and criteria

A maximum of two absences per semester is tolerated. The examination has a combined form: - Written test verifying theoretical knowledge of the topics covered. - Defence of the final project, which the student develops gradually throughout the semester (a project proposal for a municipality or non-profit organisation).
