Course content
Basics of growing main field crops and fodder. Basic and pre-sowing soil preparation. Ways of growing the main crops. Assessment and selection of seeds and seedlings, biological control of vegetation. Nutrition and fertilization of vegetation, methods and dates of fertilization, selection of suitable fertilizers, assessment of soil and plant nutrient regime. Basics of plant protection against weeds and pests. Selection of suitable species and varieties for different growing conditions and systems. Methods of harvesting and post-harvest treatment of plant products. Management and use of permanent grassland.

  • Preparation for exam - 150 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Subject of the final state examination. Mastering and studying the scientific and professional issues of the subject obtained in the form of lectures, exercises and self-study of selected chapters from teaching texts and professional literature. Improving the ability to analyze and synthesize professional knowledge and their interpretation. Acquisition and deepening of knowledge and materials for practical professional activity, or subsequent study.
Theoretical knowledge of professional subjects, the ability to work with professional literature, the ability to formulate conclusions from the studied issues.

Completion of the relevant theoretical and professional subjects.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Analysis of the qualification work
