Introduction - Plant production: crop yield versus quality (fundamental conception); Physiological fundamentals of field crops yield formation; Formation of plant production quality; Genotype - potential of crop yield and quality; Stress reaction of plants - abiotic and biotic stressors; Physiologically active compounds and reduction of field crop stress; Yield and quality formation of narrow-row cereals; Yield and quality formation of maize for silage or corn production; Yield and quality formation of legumes; Yield and quality formation of rape; Yield and quality formation of poppy and sunflower; Yield and quality formation of sugar and mangel beet; Yield and quality formation of potato tubers.

Learning outcomes |
The aim of this course is to obtain general knowledges about forming of yield and quality in growing processes of main crops with respect to specific effect of crop management and environmental conditions.
Students are able to orientate in the field of formation of yield and quality of crop production. |
