Course content
|
Growing of vegetable in the Czech Republic in comparison with EU. Propagation of vegetable plants, ways of growing and management during vegetation. Fertilization and nutrition of individual vegetable species. Crop rotations in vegetable production systems - growing in field conditions and in greenhouses, vegetable harvesting. Growing of cabbages, root, fruit, bulbous plants and leaf vegetables.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to gain basic knowledge about the importance, biology and cultivation of the main types of vegetables that can be grown in the Czech Republic.
Students are able to orientate in the field of vegetable production in conditions of the Czech Republic.

Knowledge of plant biology.

Combined exam
Active participation in exercises, understanding the curriculum defined for the exam.
