Course content
1-2) Current characteristics, importance and applying of different types of greens, their categories and special using. 3-4) Establishment and management of decorative greens, sport greens, meliorative greens and technical swards. 5-6) Establishment of swards for technical and energetical using. 7) Establishment and management of root-clean station swards. 8) Establishment and management of polders and of infiltrative zones. 9-11) Basis of management of grasslands in protected territorries. 12-13) The role of grasslands in ecological stability of different land areas. 14) Repetition of subject. Inclusion.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)

Learning outcomes
Aims: This module includes rewiew of theoretical basis of biology, ecology and dynamics of special grass stands and practise processes of its establishment and unkeeping, exploitation of greens, their special types and their applying. Students will learn the relationships, vhich exists in greens, their utilisation and management, fertilisation and species composition.
Students are able to orientate in the sowing of special grass stands, its preservation, fertilization, harvest. Students will take theoretical knowledge for determination of fodder plants and its seeds and establishment of spatial types of grass covers.
Prerequisites
Standard or basic knowledge of biology, botany, pedology and hydrology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Active participation in exercises, understanding the curriculum defined for the exam.
