Course content
The course contains individual thematic units. 1-4: situation of a contemporary society, national identity, risks and present challenges in the milieu of multiculturalism. 5-7: conflicts in today´s world and ways of their possible solutions. 8-11: the problem of globalization connected with social, economic, political and ethical aspects. 12-14: the relation between society and religion, the influence of a society on local communities, the role of newly-established religious movements and examples of changes in religious behaviour of a society.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course specialized in didactics is to inform students about topical issues occuring in the process of education. Lectures and seminars will be focused on civic education and basics of social sciences in the framework of school education programme. While attending seminars students will prepare and teach one particular lesson as a fulfilment of a necessary requirement for giving college credit.
Teaching knowledge skills in a framework of professional training.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Active participation in seminars, preparation and teaching one particular lesson, reflection of microteaching. The knowledge of The Framework Educational Programme for Basic and Secondary Education (secondary grammar schools and secondary professional and vocational schools).
