Course content
1) Cross-section topics and anti cosumerist education (IP 14 26/2b). Personality education and social education. Definition of a cross-section topic (description, thematic units and subtopics, aims, motivation, teaching material) and its practical mastering (recommended methods and forms). 2) Education of a democratic citizen. Definition of a cross-section topic (description, thematic units and subtopics, aims, motivation, teaching materials) and its practical mastering (recommened methods and forms). 3) Education about thinking in European and global connections. Definition of a cross-section topic (description, thematic units and subtopics, aims, motivation, teaching materials) and its practical mastering (recommened methods and forms). 4) Multicultural education. Definition of a cross-section topic (description, thematic units and subtopics, aims, motivation, teaching materials) and its practical mastering (recommened methods and forms). 5) Environmental education. Definition of a cross-section topic (description, thematic units and subtopics, aims, motivation, teaching materials) and its practical mastering (recommened methods and forms). 6) Education about media. Definition of a cross-section topic (description, thematic units and subtopics, aims, motivation, teaching materials) and its practical mastering (recommened methods and forms). 7-8) Key competences and their development during civic education and the basics of social sciences lessons: competences for learning. 9-10) Key competences and their development during civic education and the basics of social sciences lessons: competences for problem solving. 11-12) Key competences and their development during civic education and the basics of social sciences lessons: communicative competences. 13) Key competences and their development during civic education and the basics of social sciences lessons: social competences and personal competences. 14) Key competences and their development during civic education and the basics of social sciences lessons: civic competences and competences for work.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is a practical training of applying teaching in the sphere of cross-section topics which represent an integral part of education embedded in School Education Programmes. Thematic spheres of cross-section topics running through educational spheres will be used as a positive element during the process of students ´creating and developing key competences.

Active participation in seminars, continuous fulfilling tasks related to cross-section topics of The Framework Educational Programme and the development of key competences.
