Learning outcomes
The course aim is to inform students about basic mechanisms or journalistic work and mass media function within the context of Czech Republic. Course will inform about structure and Czech mass media typology, basic historical, social, economic, political and legislative framework that is necessary for understanding of Czech media scene. Within the course students will know actual key tendencies that change (not only) Czech media scene (tabloidization, digitalization, globalization).
Students receive the basic background knowledge for further study of media and will be encouraged to use and analyze media critically and in broader historical, political, technological etc. context.

Each student has to work out the pedagogical project applicable in the courses of media education.
