Course content
- The text of the OT and NT; - The canon of the OT and NT; - The inspiration and truth of the Scriptures; - History of interpretation and evaluation of respective approaches; - Introduction into hermeneutics, the four main aspects of the text

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The course helps the student to understand the role of the Bible in the Church and in Theology.
The student will understand the Bible not only in its literary and historical context (wich is presupposed, but also in the theological context of Christian faith.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the Bible at the level of Bachalor studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

The student works during the semester according to the teacher's assignment (see Moodle). Specifically: - (s)he studies the assigned literature and materials before each meeting in order to be sufficiently prepared; - (s)he always chooses and then processes questions (see Moodle) in order to present them at a joint meeting; - (s)he actively participates in discussions on topics and presentations at meetings; - on the final exam, (s)he will prove his/her knowledge of the topics discussed (within the extent of the assigned literature and materials) and the questions discussed at the meetings.
