Course content
The predecessor of M. Jan Hus; the rule of the Czech king Václav the IV.; M. Jan Hus ? the life and his work; the council in Constance; Zikmund Lucemburský and the revolutionary boom; the Compacts and their significance; Ladislav Pohrobek; Jiří z Poděbrad and the Jagellons seizing the Bohemian throne; the embark of the Habsburg; Bohemian kingdom in the first re-Catholisation; the Estates insurgency and the rule of Fridrich Falcký; events during the battle at Bílá hora viewed by the exiles; the period of the second re-Catholisation; the lights and the shadows of Baroque; the rule of Marie Terezie and Josef the II. and their clerical reforms; the French Revolution; Napoleon and Napoleon-wars; the Vienna Congress ? the reflection in the Czech history; the revolutionary year of 1848 ? the journey from absolute monarchy to parliamentary democracy; a summary of political and religious life in Bohemia during the second half of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to deepen the interests in national history in the context of clerical history and to provide a basic orientation in Czech clerical history since the period of hussite wars to the mid-19th century.
The student is able to interpret basic issues of Czech church history during 15th - 19th century.
Prerequisites
Absolving of Cěské církevní dějiny základní 1 - KCDČ1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

The knowledge of basic terms; the orientation in historical links and connections.
