Course content
The selected OT texts represent the most known and most important texts of the Old Testament. The list can be altered if needed. 1) Gen 1-11 2) Gen 12-22 3) Ex 1-15 4) Ex 19-34 5) 1Sam 16-17.2Sam 1-12; Ps 6) 1Kings 1-12 7) 1Kings 17 - 2Kings 8 (Eliah and Elisha) 8) Esther 9) Amos 10) Job 11) The Song of Songs

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is manyfold: - to make acquainted the students with basic OT texts and to read them - to learn how to read a (religious) text - to explain their message and importance for Christians - to be aware of the significance of the texts for European culture - to discuss the stimulation, which OT can offer to its reader
Student deepens his/her knowledge of Bible and meets the principal texts of OT.
Is very good to have basic information about the Bible and its content. It is raccomanded to frequent the Course "Bible" (BIB or BBL)

Assessment methods and criteria
Interview, Test

In order to get the pass, the student must: - read the selected texts throughout the semestr; the list of texts is to be found in Moodle; - answer the questions attached (in Moodle) to each text. The student uploads his/her answers to Moodle. If the student does not answer all questions, (s)he cannot get the pass. - the final exam has form of a dialog that departs from the answers the student has uploaded, and concentrates on student's understanding of the texts and on his/her work with the text.
