Course content
|
There are two main blocks of content: 1) OT legislation (especially Ex 20:22-23:33; Lv 17-27; Dt 12-26; 2) Prophetic books (especially Hosea, Amos, Micah, and Zephaniah);

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces to the social aspects of various OT texts.
Student will be acquainted with the social themes of OT and will be able to use his knowledge in his present personal and social situation.

Prerequisites
|
Before starting, the student must be acquainted with the Bible (OT).

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Seminar work
It is required of the student 1) active participation in classes and preparation before them. The preparation consists of careful reading of assigned texts so that students can talk about, discuss and analyze texts in class. The list of assigned texts, including essential and recommended literature and their assignment to individual meetings can be found by the student in Moodle. 2) the student studies the assigned literature (see section "Literature"). Student's knowledge is verified during the final oral exam.
