Learning outcomes |
This is an introductory course of the Latin language. Other 3 semesters follow. The course introduces to the basics of Latin and follows first 7 chapters of the book "Lingua latina per se illustrata" by Hans H. Oerberg. The whole course is taught directly in Latin language.
Students acquire knowledge of basic vocabulary and grammar and will be prepared for the following semester (KTEO/LAFI2). |

Assessment methods and criteria |
Test
The course is taught by the direct method, i.e. active and regular participation in class are essential. The course concludes with a written exam. Final Exam: - assesses the student's knowledge of the content of ?rberg's textbook up to Lesson 7. - includes a Latin text with questions concerning comprehension of the text, within the scope of the grammar and vocabulary covered. The entire exam (both texts and questions) is in Latin, and the student must also respond in Latin. |
