Learning outcomes
The starting point of the lecture series is the assumption that the theological category of creation belongs to the foundations of Christianity and Western civilization. The topic is seen on the background of the development of images of the world that are relevant to the Western cultural environment. The various images of the world, viewed through the semantics of creation theology, establish three great contexts of reflection: mythical-religious, metaphysical-religious, and natural scientific. The lectures aim to grasp creation as a symbol of performative speech, which cannot explain the world, but mediates the attitude to it.
The students will master creation theology at a deeper level.
