Course content

1. Introduction to the course content and credit requirements for handball. 2. Training of individual skills - dribble and moving with and without tha ball. Game. 3. Practice of individual skills - passes without and with movement. Game. 4. Practice of individual skills - position and motion of a player without the ball and guarding player without a ball. Game. 5. Practice of individual skills - position and movement of a player with the ball and guardinf player with the ball. Game. 6. Training of individual skills - shooting without and with movement without defense, taking offensive and defensive position. Game. 7. Training of individual skills - shooting without and with movement with defense, taking offensive and defensive position, one block. Game 8. Training of basic offensive game combinations. Game. 9. Training of basic defensive game combinations. Game. 10. Improvement of basic offensive game combinations. Game. 11. Improvement of basic defensive game combinations. Game. 12. Training games and basics of gaming systems. Game. 13. Revision of learned skills and theoretical knowledge through individual exercises and handball matches. 14. Knowledge test of the handball rules and systematics and a practical test to determine the level of handball skills.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills specific to handball. Practical skills wil be applied in the game. Furthermore, students learn the basic systematics and basic didactic principles of this sport game.
Students acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills specific to handball. Practical skills to apply in the game and in meeting practical requirements. Theoretical knowledge to apply in leading lessons, match management and in meeting theoretical requirements.

The student must actively complete all parts of the course.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Systematic student observation, Test
Basic knowledge of theory (basic handball skills, basic systematics and didactic principles, basic rules of the game), practical acquisition of basic game skills and apply them in the game and in fulfilling practical credit requirements. Leadership lessons and match management.
