Course content
1. Introductory information on combative education during the semester and study. Recommended literature. Systematics of combative disciplines. Safety issues and combative sports specifications. Material equipment and clothing. Label. Credit requirements. 2. Basic and preparatory combatives - combatives, overpressures. Breathing in combative disciplines. 3. Methodology of fall techniques and applications - falling down - forward, backward, sideways. 4. Methodology of fall techniques and applications - direct falls - forward, backward, sideways. 5. Sports combatives - attitudes and movements in attitudes (aikido, karate, judo), basic attacks, - possession, punches, kicks? 6 Karate - basic punches and kicks, breathing in karate. 7. Karate - basics of covers, basic kumite 8. Judo - basic information. Systematics judo basic principles of defeats - About Goshi - application. 9. Judo - Exercise on the ground, immobilization techniques - holding, strangling, prying - judo sport competitions. 10. Basics of aikido - etiquette, falls in aikido, basic body movements, basic techniques - prying, breathing. 11. Basics of aikido - basic techniques of restraint, basic techniques of defeat, techniques of holding and strikes. 12. Applied aikido, karate and judo. 13. Use of learned techniques in self-defense. 14. Credits.

  • Preparation for classes - 14 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Prerequisites and co-requisites Mastering theory and basic motor skills in sports combatives and martial arts including self-defense. To master the methodology of training fall techniques in dependence on the type of martial art.

Student performance assessment

Mastering motor skills and teaching skills in the field of combative sports, martial arts and self-defense. To show practical applications of selected judo and aikido techniques.
