Course content
1) Area of study, problems, system. Measurement and movement description using scalars and vectors, mass particle-human body as a system of bodies. 2) Moving system and its structure, elements and their bindings, Movement system behaviour, structure: skeleton and mussels. 3) Elementary mechanical phenomena, quantities, units, SI system of units, Addition and resoling of vectors of forces, velocities and acceleration. 4) Movement from the geometrical kinematics point of view. Movement of particles, human body as a system of bodies. (biotin, doubles, chains). 5) Geometry of mass of human bodies (segments, centre of mass). Moments of inertia, volume centre, centre of human body surface. 6) Studying movement from the kinematics point of view, Velocity, acceleration, constant movement, accelerated movement and its laws. 7) Curvilinear movement (Circle movement), movements in homogenous gravitational field applied in sport activities. 8) Movement of the human body from the dynamics point of view. Laws of movements (inertial forces, forces of action and reaction). 9) Types of forces, gravitational, static and dynamical acting of forces (when doing exercises, surface and volume force system, moments of forces, pairs of forces). 10) Mechanical work and energy. Energetic consequences of force acting in sport. 11) Mechanical interaction of human body and its environment. Resitance of the environment. 12) Biomechanical analysis of sports activities I. 13) Biomechanical analysis of sports activities II.

Learning outcomes
To provide a relatively comprehensive and structured overview of the basic lessons of Biomechanics to the audience studying PE for secondary schools.
Students will acquire knowledge of the basics of the human body and their applications in physical exercises , understands energy and mechanical laws of motion.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of physical basics of biomechanics and their application in physical education.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

An active knowledge of the subject matter as presented by the teaching plan of the course. Compliance is conditional on passing the final test at least 60%.
