Course content
1. Initial information to Martial art lessons , recommended literature, equipment, wear, etiquette, credit requirements. 2. Preparatory exercises, breathing in Martial arts, fall techniques, backward falls, games 3. Repeating of the backward falls, learning of the front falls, postures and moves in the postures /aikido, karate, judo/ 4. Side Rolling fall, preparatory exercises for attack - punches, kick, grabbing 5. Basics of judo - basic techniques " O-goši", kesa gatame 6. Different types of Front falls, Back and side falls, Judo techniques in self- 7. Defence techniques against attack with weapons - knife, bar 8. Basic of karate , breathing, postures, punches and hand techniques,, kicks in place 9. Karate - kihon, movement in the postures, movements, punches and hand techniques, kicks in movement, kumite, self- defence 10. Karate technique - against attacks with weapons - knife, bar. 11. Aikido - preparatory exercises, postures and basic walk, basic techniques, ikkyo 12. Aikido, more techniques - nikkyo, sankyo, osae 13. Learning outcomes
The rudiments of self-defence theory and practice. The importance of self-defence training. Self-defence in the light of the law. Technical means and factors based on combat art principles - attacks and kicks, strangling, prising, use of bars and knives. Strategies and tactics of self-defence against individuals and groups.
