| Course content |

Students will familiarise with the rules of educational process concerning physical exercise; with its aims and contents; with pedagogical principles, methods, procedures and styles. The course focuses on the position and role of the teacher and the child in the educational process; on the rules of their communication; on the treatment of the subject matter. Attention will be also paid to practical skills related to the creation of a thematic unit in kindergarten; to planning activities and preparation of open-air school. To motor abilities, skills and habits. Implementation of the methodology of physical activities in the kindergarten practice: physical exercise and open-air games for pre-school children; preparatory athletic games for pre-school children; gymnastic games for pre-school children to train basic gymnastic skills. Basics of applied physical activities. Physical activities and movement games for preschool children with special needs. The aim of the course is to apprehend the role of physical exercise in contemporary kindergarten education; to get acquainted with various approaches to and forms of physical exercise with regard to the child´s age and individual dispositions. It is based on Framework Educational Programme for pre-school education.
Ability to coordinate physical acrivites in contemporary kindergarten with respect to the child´s developmental and individual potential. |
