Course content |
Students will familiarise with the rules of educational process concerning physical exercise; with its aims and contents; with pedagogical principles, methods, procedures and styles. The course focuses on the position and role of the teacher and the child in the educational process; on the rules of their communication; on the treatment of the subject matter. Attention will be also paid to practical skills related to the creation of a thematic unit in kindergarten; to planning activities and preparation of open-air school. To motor abilities, skills and habits. Implementation of the methodology of physical activities in the kindergarten practice: physical exercise and open-air games for pre-school children; preparatory athletic games for pre-school children; gymnastic games for pre-school children to train basic gymnastic skills. Basics of applied physical activities. Physical activities and movement games for preschool children with special needs. Learning outcomes |
The aim of the course is to apprehend the role of physical exercise in contemporary kindergarten education; to get acquainted with various approaches to and forms of physical exercise with regard to the child´s age and individual dispositions. It is based on Framework Educational Programme for pre-school education.
Ability to coordinate physical acrivites in contemporary kindergarten with respect to the child´s developmental and individual potential. |
