Course content
1. Field, main aims and users of financial analysis, data sources. 2. Techniques and methods of financial analysis. 3. Economic indicators and their classification. 4. Analysis of efficiency of a company. 5. Analysis of financial position of a company. 6. Analysis of cash flow and financial funds. 7. Analysis of market value indicators. 8. Economic value added. 9. Financial distress and financial health of a company. 10. Long-term and short-term financial planning.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Preparation for exam - 48 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to provide students with the basic knowledge of financial analysis and planning and basic skills of calculation and evaluation of economic indicators.
Students understand the principle of financial analysis and financial reporting. They are able to perform basic methods of financial analysis.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Test

Credit Requirements: Successful completion of a test, min. 50%. Elaboration of course tasks. Examination Requirements: Knowledge of the theory within the range of categories.
