Course content
Basic concepts of financial analysis. Subject of financial analysis. Users of financial analysis. Sources of information. Objectives and areas of financial analysis . Methods of financial analysis. Indicators and their classification. Systematization of economic indicators. Indicators systems - arrangement and structure. Methods of decomposition indices and differences of synthetic indicators. Functional, logarithmic and gradual method. Index theory. Indices and differences of values. Classification of indices. Decomposition of individual composite indices and aggregate indices. Shift-share analysis. Economic inequalities. Ratio analysis of financial indicators. Financial funds. Profitability. Activity. Indebtedness. Liquidity. Market indicators. Economic and market value added. EVA entity. EVA equity. Methods of fundamental analysis. PESTLE, Balanced scorecard, SWOT. Long-term financial planning. Prognosis of sales. Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to deepen the topics taught in the bachelor's course of financial analysis. After completing the course, the student is able to master the methods of financial analysis and planning and has skills in the calculation and evaluation of economic indicators and their use in financial management and decision making.
Students understand the principles of financial analysis and financial reporting. They are able to perform methods of financial analysis.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of financial analysis in the scope of bachelor study.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Test

Credit Requirements: Successful completion of test (min. 50%, regular + 1 corrective). Elaboration of tasks (min. 50% in average).
