Course content
1. The objectives of art education and art teacher personality. 2. History and contemporary conceptions of art education. RVP. Theoretical and methodological sources of art education. 3. Ontogenesis of artistic expression and creative growth. 4. The types of art activities for the first grade of primary school. 5. Expression of imagination. 6. Creative experimentation. 7. Visual studying of reality. 8. Preparing of the art lesson. 9. Evaluation of creative expression. 10. Color in art education. 11. Project methods in contemporary art education. 11. Art typology. Approaches of art education, artefiletics art therapy. 12. Project teaching and gallery education methods.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration, Graphic and art activities
Learning outcomes
The seminar reflects the basic didactic and methodological issues in the field of art education theory and provides a gradational formation of competencies for creative and educational activities in art education practice at the primary school.
Students will acquire a comprehensive didactic and methodological knowledge for their teaching practice in art education at the primary school.
Prerequisites
Crucial subjects: Culture of plastic arts (KVV/VÝKP) Drawing (KVV/KREP) Painting (KVV/MALP) Applied graphics and fonts (KVV/UGPP) Spatial and applied creation (KVV/PUTP or KVV/PTP) Completion of prerequisite seminars and active approach to the subject topics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Seminar work

Successful completion of the final examination, testing good orientation in the theory of art education, complex didactic preparedness and ability of the knowledge transfer into the practice. Before the main examination, the student submits the seminar work, focused on expanding his/her own preparatory portfolio, reflecting the experience from teaching practice.
