Course content
Content of lectures: 1.-3. Definition of bitmap graphics. 4.-7. Potential and limits of bitmap graphics. Examples of the use of raster graphics (business cards, banners, posters, photographs, scanning). 8.-13. Raster formats (JPG, Tif, RAW, PNG, PDF). Content of seminars: 1.-3. Basic orientation in the Adobe Photoshop graphic program. 4.-7. Basic tools for working with raster graphics (color modes, resolution, working with scale, VS canvas, color corrections, layers, brushes). 8.-13. Creation of a book cover according to student's choice (A5 format, 24 pages typesetting, composing illustrations and photographs, binding V1, V2). 14. Evaluation of results and closing of the subject.

Learning outcomes
Within the course, the student will get acquainted with the basic concepts and software options of bitmap computer graphics and software options for working with it. The teaching blocks are placed on a theoretical and practical basis. Students will be able to orient themselves in the environment of selected graphic programs and can use new skills independently in their own artistic and pedagogical practice.
Work with a 3D software - essentials. Simple animations. Usage for vizualization and presentation of object in terms of education.
Prerequisites
Basic computer-using knowledge. User knowledge of one of vector programmes.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of student's work activities (technical works), Analysis of creative work (musical, visual, literary)

Basic theoretical knowledge and skills to work on PC. Study aids: Notepad
