Course content
Lecture: 1. Information about the practical education at school, art activities structure at primary and secondary schools, psychological, pedagogical and artistic aspects. Working with a portfolio. 2. Process of visual and tactilo-kinaesthetic understanding - description, speech 3. Study, students' expression of reality. Drawing 4. Expression of imagination, graphics, colour and drawing, didactical analysis of the theme during the lesson 5. 3D creation, creation of objects and work in the materials of the subject of art 6. Intermedial actions - animation of an artpiece 7. Expression of children and youth - history of research, methods, first researchers 8. Arise and development of expression of children of the preschool age 9. Young pupils' expression - features 10. Middle-aged pupils' expression - depicting of space development 11. Older pupils' expression - critical phenomena in creation, solving 12. Evaluation of expression - ontogenetic and art-typological viewpoint 13. Pupil-types - theoretical bases of typology, practical applications 14. Meaning of expression of pupils and students Seminars: 1. Program and organizing of the seminars; topics for seminar exposes 2. The proces of creation generally, pupil's creation, the role of a teacher 3. Evaluation of pupil's work - theory and practice 4. Products of nature, things - theory, didactics, practical work - motivation examples from the field of art 5. Human head - theory, didactics, practice - motivation examples 6. Human and animal shape - theory, didactics, practice - motivation examples 7. Collage - theory, didactics, practice - motivation examples 8. Landscape - theory, didactics, practice - motivation examples 9. Creation of space - theory, didactics, practice - motivation examples 10. Design, applied creation - theory, didactics, practice - motivation of design and applied creation examples 11. Photography -didactics, practice - motivation examples 12. Usage of computer in art - possibilities, didactics, practice - motivation examples from different subjects bound with PCs 13. Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
Learning outcomes
Theory and practice of children´s and youth´s artistic expression (interdisciplinary relations, ontogenesion, typology, evaluation criteria). The subject of art at primary art school (education structure, aims, content, tasks, art activities analysis).
Art-theory competences: - motivation to communication in relevant contexts (psychological, social, cultrally-historical ones) - level of artistic receptivity underlaid by knowledge of aesthetics, history of art theory Art-didactics skills: - art and specific educative activity results and processes description, analysis and interpretation - contents structuring and presentation, i. e.: art topics and problems

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

- usage of critical thinking during the study of the subject of art theory Ability to analyze and interpret specific features in expressions. Creation of basic frame for the sake of solving pedagogical projects. Good quality in communication in the subject of art.
