Course content
1. Introduction to the curriculum, requirements for credit, organization of seminars, study literature. 2. Development of writing and its cultural and social significance. 3. Basic concepts of graphic design. 4.- 5. Lettrism: Art experimentation with writing. 5.- 6. Font Grotesk - training in writing letters pen. 7.- 8. Illustration (text and art work). 8.-9. Ex Libris. 10.-11. Design of auctorial font. 12.-13. Artist's book (The book as object). 14. Evaluation of seminars and the convolute of artifacts.

Learning outcomes
The seminar is devoted to the basics of graphic design in terms of theory and its practical issue as a inspiration source for art education. It presents the typography as a phenomenon of human culture, its artistic contents and aesthetic values. Students will learn to work with the basic types of historical fonts in miscellaneous creative issues.
Ability to analyze and explicate the specific visual characters in graphic manifestations.
Prerequisites
Drawing (KREP) and painting (MALP) credit. Psychomotor skills and creative thinking.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of creative work (musical, visual, literary)

Application of critical thinking at the field of art education theory and theory of art.
