Learning outcomes |
One of obligatory courses of the bachelor level of the study program biology. Main content is animal morphology and anatomy; the practicals include general description, individual observation of living and preserved animals and microscopic slides, dissection of selected animals. The order of groups in the following list comes from the usual order of higher animal taxa, while real order will be modified according to availability of living material.
Students know the characteristics of invertebrate animal phyla, classes and orders, mainly their morphology. Students are able to identify invertebrate animal phyla, classes and orders. Students appreciate invertebrate animals for their diverse abilities. |
Prerequisites |
Basic course that does not require previous special knowledge.
|
Assessment methods and criteria |
Written examination, Systematic student observation
To get the credits, at least six of ten displayed specimens must be recognized and categorized. |
