Course content
|
Content of practices: Capture and sampling of animals, mainly insects and birds, on a selected species rich locality in the Czech Republic, in May or June. Determination of species, sampling and preservation of samples, bird ringing, observation of morphology and behaviour.

Learning outcomes
|
Observation of selected animal species in their natural habitats; learning methods of sampling, capture, observation.
The student will gain the ability to identify the basic species of animals in the field, including methods of their collection / capture. The student will get acquainted with the basic ecological requirements of various species of animals, including their biology and protection.

The course introduces the issue, does not assume specific input knowledge.

The student is able to recognize the basic species of animals. Can summarize their ecological requirements, the specifics of their biology and protection.
