Course content
Content of practices: Laboratory microscopic practicals of outer insect morphology, comparative and identification practicals focused on families of individual insect orders, their adults and larvae; several orders are observed each year, rotating during several years.

Learning outcomes
Basic practical learning of insect morphology and diversity
Students know characteristics of insect orders and families, mainly their morphology. Students are able to identify insect orders and families. Students appreciate insects for their diverse abilities.

no obligatory course passed, but ability to operate microscopes presumed

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

To get the credits, at least six of ten displayed specimens must be recognized and categorized.
