Course content
1 - Introduction, basic terms 2 - Informatics, information and data 3- PC technical stuff 4 - additional devices 5 - communication and webs 6 - operational systems 7 - Internet, email, WWW 8 - text editors and processors, typographic rules 9 - 10 formatting of a document, styles, templates 11 - charts 12 - functions, charts, pivot tables 13 - join of office applications 14 - HTML, WWW principles

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
  • Preparation for classes - 10 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 25 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 15 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Informatics, information and data. Visual interface of Windows NT. Internet, Email and WWW. Basic text editors, basic typographic rules. Introduction into Word, basics of work with the text. Working with objects at Word, formatting of a document, styles and charts. A chart and its options. Introduction to Excel, the philosophy of working in Excel, basics operations, functions, charts and formatting. Work with lists, sorting, automatic filters, summaries, pivot tables. MS Office- join of applications (OLE and DDE). HTML and making them at Word. Antivirus and compression programs.
The student is able to apply the knowledge, received during the study, specified in the part: Content of the syllabus.

Test

Participation of a student at seminars and a seminar paper.
