Course content
1. The definition of the logistic and basic concepts. 2. Evolution of logistic. 3. Functions of logistic and logistics systems (supply, produce, distribution). 4. Logistics services and their providers, packaging and package technique. 5. Logistics chain. 6. Technology of cargo transportation, transport means, IT in transportation. 7. Optimization of transport systems, technology of loading operations. 8. Technology of storage operations. 9. Economy of transportation, transportation and environment. 10. Quality and reliability of machines in transportation. 11. Mechanical transportation - conveyors, hydraulic transportation, pneumatic transportation. 12. Transportation means in agriculture, specifics of agriculture transportation and its logistic. 13. Combined transportation. 14. Logistic of spare parts.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
  • Semestral paper - 25 hours per semester
  • Field trip - 24 hours per semester
  • Preparation for classes - 15 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 40 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The main goal of this subject is to acquaint students with basics concepts from problematics of cargo, goods and person transportation, but also in broader context of problematics of the overall flow of goods from the supplier to the subscriber, especially by different transport means.
The student is able to apply the knowledge, received during the study, specified in the part: Content of the syllabus.

basic knowledge of transport and manipulation technology

Oral examination, Written examination

Requirements to get the credits: 1. Participation - max. 2 unauthorised absences 2. Seminar paper 3. Average grade from tests: 3 and better 4. When one condition is not met, another seminar paper on a given topic must be worked out 5. When the absence is higher than 50% the credits will not be given Exam - written test with 10 questions from which 2 are counting exercises, oral exam based on the result of the written part
