Course content
1.-2. Areal soil cultivation. 3. Sowing types, sowing and planting machinery. 4. Machinery used for herbicides and pesticides application, sprayers, blow and fog sprayers. 5. Weeders. 6. Solid fertilizer spreaders, operatinal process, spreading mechanisms. Liquid fertilizers application. 7. Forage harvest technologies, reaping (mowing) machines. 8. Conditioners, forage crusehes, tedding and raking machines. 9. Forage cutting machines (field choppers), construction and types, cutting mechanisms, efficiency. 10. Pick-up presses, their types and constructions. Bale manipulation machinery. Pick-up wagoons. 12. Seed separation mechanized lines, seed preparation and separation, types of machines used. 13. Potato harvest machinery, potato harvesters and potato diggers construction. Principles of separation and preparation. 14. Sugar-beet and corn harvest machinery, machines and operational processes.

Learning outcomes
Objective of this subject is to get students aquainted with topics related to technologies and engineering principles used in plant production in relation to transport of commodity.
The student is able to apply the knowledge, received during the study, specified in the part: Content of the syllabus.
