Course content
- Introduction to art therapy. Incorporation of art therapy in the system of psycho-therapy. - Forms and methods of art therapy. - Creative art in groupwork. Group art therapy. Possibilities and using. - Dynamic of group. Self-identification in group. - Groupwork in social care. - Cooperativ activities. Communication and art therapy. - Vizualization and using for health. Relaxation and creative vizualization. - Color symbology. Using in art therapy. - Methods of art therapy. Imagery. Guided imagery. - Mandalas. Creating mandalas and concentration, insight, Self-expression. - Finding parallels between general symbols and symbols contained in the visual artefact. - Creativity mobilisation technique, brainstorming. - Evolution of visual expression and possibilities of its influence. - Diagnostical possibilities in art therapy. - Art therapy with children. - Specific options of art therapy in the area of helping professions. - Art therapy and experiences of touch. - Development the basic knowledge of art therapy throught own experiences during one´s activity. - Ways of interpreting the artefact. Artefact composition. - Self-identification through visual expression.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Monitoring, Demonstration, Graphic and art activities, Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
This subject is introduction to Art therapy, its aim is to aquire basic informations and experiences with art therapy. Incomporation of art therapy in the system of psycho-therapy. Limitations and possibilities of art therapy. Methods of art therapy. Evolution of visual expression and possibilities of its influence. Specific options of art therapy in the area of helping professions. Art therapy with children. Ways of interpreting the artefact. General symbolism in the visual expression - finding parallels between general symbols contained in the visual artefact. Color symbology. Artefact composition. Identification through visual expression. The seminar is based on own experiences.
Knowledge of basic forms and methods, orientation in art therapy. Specific options of art therapy and exercise knowledge in practice.
Prerequisites
Theoretic knowledge and aplication in practice. Possibilities of interpreting the artefact.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Student performance assessment, Analysis of creative work (musical, visual, literary), Interview, Systematic student observation

The seminar is based on own experiences, partialy on art work of students themselves / Art qualification is not a condition.
