Course content
Lecture and seminars: 1. Philosophy of skiing. 2. Down-hill training. 3. Effects of a recreational skiing in support to health of children and youth. 4. Recreational meaning of kinetic activities in mountain winter environment in other age periods. 5. Specificity of the alpine environment. 6. Basic skiing training - complex skiing precepts, balance, step turning, skating. 7. Uphill turn, in plough, from plough, from stern-turn of a higher ski, 8. Forced carves. 9. Parallel carves. 10. Bases of carving. 11. Skiing on short skis, experience. 12. Plays on snow. 13. Bases of didactical group leading and work with youth. 14. Compensatory exercising. Conditions for credit hour: Active attendance in exercising and lectures. The course is necessary to pass in its entirety. The course ends by a test and credit.

Learning outcomes
Basic ski training, alpine skiing. Methodology of carving. Games on snow. Basics of snowboarding. Effects of recreational skiing in heath support. Recreational importance of movement activities in mountain winter area.
Guiding and organization of winter course, theoretical and practical skills of alpine skiing methods.

Written examination, Student performance assessment

Active attendance in exercising and lectures.
