Course content
Topics for self-study (checked by test), aproximatelly 33 lessons Hygienics in relationship to other sciences. Nursing. Basics of documentation. Rights and obligations of a medic. Hygiene and epidemiology. Topics for consultation (check by discussion) Basic life functions. Order in which to treat people and its legal responsibility. Positioning and transport. Blood circulation malfunction. Bleeding and how to stop it. Shock. Accesses to vein. Substitute fluids, transfusion. Breathing malfunction, suffocation, aspiration. Consciousness malfunction, unconsciousness, spasms. Injuries: head, chest, stomach, spine, eye, ear. Broken bones, injuries of soft tissues. Insect and animal bites. Intoxication. Injuries caused by physical factors: heat, cold, acid, electricity and drowning. Accute adominal problems, childbirth, urgent child states. Topics for essay- individual work (checked by turning-in), aproximatelly 33 lessons

Learning outcomes
Aim of subject is to introduce students to new topics in the ffield of hygienics and health prevention in tutoring practice and to teach them how to act in crisis situasions and situations when human life is in danger. Annotation: Hygienics in relationship to other sciences. Nursing. Basics of documentation. Rights and obligations of a medic. Hygiene and epidemiology. Basic life functions. Order in which to treat people and its legal responsibility. Cardiopulmonal resuscitation with or without tools. Automatized external defibrillators. Work of a medic on the crash site. Positioning and transport. Blood circulation malfunction. Bleeding and how to stop it. Shock. Accesses to vein. Substitute fluids, transfusion. Breathing malfunction, suffocation, aspiration. Consciousness malfunction, unconsciousness, spasms. Injuries: head, chest, stomach, spine, eye, ear. Broken bones, injuries of soft tissues. Insect and animal bites. Intoxication. Active participation in the seminars, complete 2 min. CPR without tools on adult manikin without tools.
