Course content
1. Definition of welfare and methods of its evaluation 2. Hygiene of the stable environment - physical, chemical and biological 3. Microclimate - parameters, evaluation, measurement 4. Soil hygiene and water hygiene 5. Hygiene of feed and nutrition 6. Health disorders of nutritional origin, microbial and toxic effects of feed, intoxication from nutrition 7. Hygiene of storage and evaluation of feed 8. Sanitation of the environment - disinfection, disinsection 9. Sanitation of the environment - deratization, sanitation services 10. Hygiene of buildings 11. Prevention of diseases - animal health, disease 12. Animal diseases - Zoonoses 13. Health economics 14. Pharmacology in breeding practice

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with basic knowledge about welfare, animal hygiene and biosecurity of farm and wild animals and animals of hobby breeding in zoos.
