Course content
The lectures in cattle husbandry are primarily focused on the factors, affecting the level of meat and milk yield, breeding work methods and husbandry technology principles of individual categories. Horse raising is presented to the students as a discipine where they cannot do without their own practical experience necessary for the correct understanding of the principles of horse raising as well as their work application. The objectives of the course are to afford the students the theoretical and practical knowledge of the technology of horse raising and breeding, and also of the disciplines of riding, horse racing sport and riding tourism. The characteristics of the main breeds of sheep and goats will be discussed together with the problems of fertility, techniques of rearing, health and veterinary problems.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to provide the students with knowledge of the most recent scientific and practical findings in cattle breeding, horse breeding and sheep and goat breeding when are decisive in increasing the yield and making husbandry feasible.
Theoretical basics and practical skills for the work of zootechnics.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of zootechnics, genetics, nutrition and feeding of animals.

Combined exam
