Course content
1. Introduction to the subject, levels of organization, morphology, and physiology of the cell. 2. Tissue structure and organization, body fluids, and blood 3. Bones and skeletal system 4. Muscular system 5. The cardiovascular and lymphatic system 6. Respiratory system 7. Alimentary canal and its function 8. Digestive glands, vitamins, macro and trace elements. 9. Endocrine glands and the biological effect of hormones 10. Urinary system, male reproductive system, hormonal regulation 11. Female reproductive system, hormonal regulation 12. Fertilization and pregnancy, parturition 13. Skin, mammary gland, lactation 14.The nervous system, special senses, principles of nervous functions

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Demonstration, Laboratory, Practical training

Learning outcomes
The aim of this discipline is to present principles of morfology and function of cells, tissues, organs and organs system of livestock.
Students will acquire a general knowledge of morphology and basic biological processes in the body of livestock.
Prerequisites
Fundamental knowledge of biology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Test

Active attendance at seminars, results from continuous tests, seminar presentations, protocols from exercises.
