Course content
Content of lectures and practices: basic of animal cytology, histology and embryology (with accent on gametogenesis, types of placents in individual farm animals), anatomical terminology, planes and directions in the animal body, regions of the animal body, systematic anatomy: skeletal system, muscular system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, female and male reproductive system, endocrine system, nervous system, lymphatic system, integumentary system (including epidermal derivates - hoof, claw and including mammary gland), basic of avian anatomy. The education is provided using collection of bones and by means of dissection of native organs from slaughtered animals.

Learning outcomes
The objective of this discipline is to obtain knowledge about animal cytology, basic of animal tissues, embryology and individual organ systems of farm mammals (especially pigs and cattle) and farm birds.
Students will acquire a general knowledge of the morphology of livestock.
Prerequisites
Fundamental knowledge of biology.

Active attendance at seminars, results from continuous tests.
